Mount LVM in vmdk file with the same vg name as the OS's vg

Here is the tough issue: To restore system files, we need to mount a VMware vmdk file to this server under RHEL 5.8. This vmdk file was from a SnapProtect backup copy on the same system. The vmdk file contains LVM filesystems. The biggest problem is that the LVM in the vmdk uses the same volume group as the Linux host's volume group, "VolGroup00", because the vmdk is a backup copy of the system. How can we mount the LVM filesystems in the vmdk file to the RHEL server? Please help. Thank you in advance!
