I have installed virtual pcs several times but today I am getting this error. While I have several virtual PCs I remember that I updated my VMware workstation software to the latest version VMware Workstation 15 Pro. And today when I tried to install a new virtual machine I keep getting this error (Screenshot attached) when I try to install VMware Tools. It says I need to update my Virtual PC OS to SP1 which I have done through Windows update itself and yet it doesn't work. After completing the updates I restarted the PC and tried installing VMware tools again but it still doesn't work.
Does anyone know the solution to this? I would really appreciate it as I have never faced this issue and wasn't able to find any answers online. Please let me know.
