I'm facing a problem. In the past I changed the MAC address of one specific machine. I was able to put MAC address different from Vmware OUI, I needed edit vmx file manually and change the parameter ethernet1.addresstype="generated" and ethernet1.generatedAddress = "00:0c:29:ba:63:ff". I had success in the past.
Now I made a clone of this machine and I put this clone in a different Network, I need to keep the same mac address, because I have an application designed to work in this way. I tried for a lot of time repeat the procedure and I didn't have success. Any ideas?
